Local Governance Performance Management System

Program Description
LGPMS is a self-assessment, management and development tool that enables local governments to determine their capabilities & limitations in the delivery of essential public services. It provides benchmark data that can be utilized for program prioritization, policy formulation and policy direction for development purposes of LGUs.
Program Objectives:
The LGPMS is a management tool because it provides the LGUs, who are the primary users of the system, with a way or system to measure and assess their capacity and performance in an objective manner.
Based on such objective measurement and assessment, the LGUs can identify their strengths or weaknesses (performance gaps) or areas needing improvement.
This would then allow them to develop appropriate strategies and actions towards building up their capacity and improving their performance in the delivery of services to their constituents and the promotion of sustainable local development. This would also help them to allocate resources more rationally.
